Ⅰ Foreword
XCD series of low-resistance earth module, a kind of earth
electrode
mainly made of non-metallic materials, consists of nonmetallic minerals with excellent electrical conductivity and stability as well as ionogens. Its birth creates the epoch of earth material and technology.
Ⅱ Product Introduction
Traditional earth electrodes are mainly metallic conductors such as round steel, angle iron, steel tube, bar copper, copper wire mesh and so on. Characterized by more material consumptions, large capital outlay, short life and bad stability, they are not suitable to be used in areas with high soil resistivity. While this kind of low-resistance earth module is little in material consumption, saving in capital outlay, long in life and strong in stability, thus is especially suitable to be used in areas with high soil resistivity. If it is sandstone stratum or rock stratum around earth point, it can be used to form special “artificial earth” to solve problems met in earth engineering, besides, the product is pollution free, nontoxic, corrosion resistant and very convenient in application.
The basic reason why the product can achieve low earth resistance is that under condition with same overall dimension, more-metallic materials increase the contact area between earth electrode and soil layer by times, and then increase loose driving area of earth electrode self, and reduce contact resistance between earth electrode and soil accordingly.
Having very strong water absorbability and keeping, the product can fully bring electric conduction of ionogen in earth module into play.
Ⅲ Operating Principle
When XCD earth module built-in zinc plated flat steel or angle iron is connected with the protected ground wire, effective contact area of metal earth electrode and ground will increase greatly. Moreover, owing to the moisture absorption and keeping and stable electric conduction of earth module, earth resistance of metal earth electrode and the ground will minish greatly, and then resistance-reducing effect of the module will be fully brought into play accordingly.
